Old Plank Trail Community Bank believes in community outreach on a variety of levels and recognizes need within the community. With this mission, Paul Slade, President of Old Plank Trail Community Bank, and Rebecca Nagle, Assistant Vice President of First United Bank – a branch of Old Plank Trail Community Bank, presented The Crete Township Food Pantry with a check in the amount of $1,000. The check was accepted by Donna Allen, Pantry Director, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.

Currently the Pantry services approximately 50 families a month. Since the Pantry does not receive federal grants and is not a participant of the Greater Food Depository like other Township/governmental run pantries, The Crete Township Food Pantry’s donations are solely received from the kindness of the community. Any individual or family member who is in need of outreach from the Pantry is asked to provide proof of residency within the Township to receive food baskets up to 12 times a year per person/family.

Paul Slade said, “As a community bank, we are proud to support the Crete Township Food Pantry in its efforts to help all Crete Township residents in need.” For more information or to donate to the Crete Township Food Pantry, please visit www.cretetownship.com.
