Welcome to the Old Plank Trail Community Bank Website
To our customers, friends, and neighbors,
We’ve been busy at Old Plank Trail Community Bank!
As most of you already know, we acquired certain assets and liabilities of the former First United Bank in September of 2012. This FDIC-assisted transaction adds three new locations to our existing four. The systems conversion of those three locations onto our banking platform took place on May 6th. All of our customers are able to use any of our seven bank facilities. In addition, all customers may also use any of the approximate 120 (and growing) Wintrust Community Banks in greater metropolitan Chicago.
And there is more: we have acquired all eight branches of the First National Bank of Illinois. This Lansing, IL based bank will also bring additional branches in Shorewood, Plainfield, Joliet, Lynwood, South Holland, and Dyer, IN. The branches will convert to our banking system in early October. We are very proud of accomplishing this growth in the face of a still-challenging overall banking environment.
Our bank now approaches $1.1 billion in assets. We will always remain true to our focus of being your community bank. Local decision making, unmatched personal service, and a deep commitment to our community are among our core values. We will never forget that ours is a service business. One of the key factors in our decision to acquire was the strong culture of customer service each of these two institutions developed.
All of our customers, whether households, businesses, or public sector, will benefit from increased choices, services, and capacity.
Our mission remains unchanged. Our approach remains unchanged. We value our customers and place unmatched customer service as our cornerstone. We remain active lenders across a wide spectrum of loan types and look forward to serving new customers and new markets.
Have a safe and enjoyable fall.
