We believe in community outreach on a variety of levels and recognize needs within the community. With this mission in mind, Paul Slade, President, Old Plank Trail Community Bank, recently presented Aunt Martha’s Pediatric Health and Wellness Clinic with a $1,000.00 check on Tuesday, November 12. The check was accepted by Mr. Harry Wells, Vice President of Advancement, Nina Albrecht, Development Project Manager, and Tiffany Evans, Development Associate of Aunt Martha’s.
The funds assisted with the opening of the community outreach facility which opened in June 2013, and provide free services such as primary wellness care and preventative medicine for newborns through childhood. Children need immunizations and access to medicine when they are ill and the clients of Aunt Martha’s provide the above mentioned services at no cost to at risk families who are in low to moderate income level residences in the south and southwestern suburbs.
Aunt Martha’s offers 17 community health centers which are closely integrated with each of their 10 operating divisions which collaborate with units of local government, community, and faith-based organizations to develop and preserve programs and services that provide housing and shelter services, offer access to essential services, and conduct community outreach, education and risk reduction campaigns.
