Old Plank Trail Community Bank recently donated $500.00 to the Will County Senior Services program, “Meals on Wheels,” which is a home bound senior meal program tailored for seniors who are in the Steger and eastern Joliet areas. The program serves 700 seniors with 5 meals per week in the areas.

Meals cost the program $2.50 each and are delivered by Trinity Services, Inc. staff along with Trinity Service participants to the elderly in Steger and eastern Joliet. If the program continues to see additional budget cuts due to lack of funding from the State of Illinois; seniors of the mentioned areas won’t receive meals and contracts with outreach facilitators like Trinity Services, Inc. will be cancelled. This will offer a detriment to Trinity Services funding as well due to lack of incoming contract fees for delivery.
